Each week, Brooklyn Pickle spends three hours in the first-grade classrooms at Gardendale Elementary, where she helps students develop their reading and math skills. She also serves as an important role model for the children: Brooklyn has cerebral palsy and uses a wheelchair. She harnesses her own life experience to make a lasting impression and show students the importance of perseverance.
