Benga Harrison
Director
Benga works alongside community entities like schools, government agencies, nonprofits, and corporations to build relationships to help fulfill the needs of the community, as well as with some of the top United Way of Central Alabama companies to enhance their corporate engagement programs through volunteer projects. Benga is passionate about recognizing volunteers in Central Alabama and beyond and works with the Ignite Volunteer Awards Ceremony by partnering with host committee members, Skye Connect, staff and community volunteers to organize the annual event.
David Clark
Community Service Liaison
David works with employee and corporate groups to build partnerships in our community to give volunteers the opportunity to work with diverse groups in safe, comfortable environments, designed specifically for their team, on projects ranging from playgrounds to parks and anything in-between.
Jeff Dodson
Construction Logistics Manager
Jeff oversees all aspects of Hands On’s construction projects within the five-county area (Jefferson, Blount, Shelby, St. Clair and Walker Counties) and is responsible for the scheduling of the different phases of projects based on established deadlines, as well as recruiting and retaining vendors, contractors, skilled labor and volunteers for varying levels of projects.
Tawanna Willoughby
Community Liaison
Tawanna works directly with nonprofit partners, schools and neighborhoods to help identify volunteer needs, using these needs to organize meaningful projects for Days of Service volunteers. She is also in charge of Bunny Aid and the Back-to-School Backpack Drive, programs which help under-served children in the Greater Birmingham Area receive Easter baskets and school supplies through volunteer donations.
