Period Supply Drive
Help End Period Poverty
No one should have to choose between buying food and purchasing essential hygiene products. Yet every day for many in Central Alabama, period poverty is a reality.
In honor of Women’s History Month, United Way Hands On, Women United and United Way of Central Alabama are launching our third annual Period Supply Drive. From March 9th through 27th, you can help by donating period supplies to ensure every individual has access to the essentials they need.

Why is this important?
The first annual supply drive was organized in 2024 after a poll of United Way partner agencies showed that there was a critical need for supplies in our local area. More than half of the population in Central Alabama experiences periods, yet many individuals face limited or no access to menstrual products. By participating in this drive, you can directly impact the lives of those in need.
