Introducing the Jefferson County Centennial Park in Tarrant
In celebration of the 100th anniversary, United Way of Central Alabama (UWCA) is building a Centennial Park for the community in each of the six counties we serve. You too can be a blessing to the community by pitching in with coworkers to help build one of these pleasing outdoor facilities. Each park will be customized to suit the community and site location but will consist of the same primary features.
Modular Park Elements
Outdoor Classroom Pavilion:
Outdoor classrooms are excellent multi-use facilities for civic clubs, church groups, neighborhood associations and other groups. This pavilion will be outfitted with multiple picnic tables and other amenities to provide a safe, covered location for gathering at the park.
Recreational Amenities:
The park will include both fitness and play equipment. Additionally, this Jefferson County park will have a soccer field and walking track.
Other Park Elements:
There will be other recreational amenities such as picnic tables, benches, and garden elements.
