Dear Friends of IGNITE,
Our environment has changed. We are facing a high degree of uncertainty over the next few months because of the Coronavirus pandemic and our plans for IGNITE 2020 have changed.
The State of Alabama, Jefferson County Health Department and the United States Health Advisors have declared a state of emergency and placed severe restrictions on large gatherings. This impacts United Way Hands On and all of our guests who were planning to attend our 4th Annual IGNITE Volunteer Awards celebration, on April 23 @ 10:30 am, at The Club in Birmingham.
But wait! Hold the date, because we will conduct a virtual celebration and all of our friends and award recipients are invited! All you need is a computer or telephone and a few moments. Information on how to join us via the comforts of your home will be provided soon.
Yes, we are unable to celebrate in our traditional fun and festive atmosphere in person, or enjoy an orange roll or two, but the volunteer celebration goes on! Our community leaders, nominated finalists and business partners will be recognized in a very special way LIVE using on line technology.
IGNITE 2020 will be an interactive virtual affair (IVA) on the same date and time as before, Thursday, April 23, 2020, beginning at 10:30 am. We plan to celebrate our famous volunteer finalists in grand style on our digital platforms and through social engagement.
Keep the date, change the location for IGNITE 2020, April 23 @ 10:30 am!
For everyone who has already purchased tickets, tables, or Sponsorships, they will be moved to Ignite 2021.
