The Jefferson County United Way Centennial Park in Tarrant, opened in September 2023, stands as a lasting legacy of United Way of Central Alabama’s 100th anniversary.

This revitalized green space was designed to bring people together and strengthen community well-being. It features:

  • A pavilion that doubles as an outdoor classroom
  • Picnic tables handcrafted by community volunteers
  • A soccer field that encourages recreation and healthy activity

Built by the Community, for the Community

Nearly 300 volunteers contributed their time and talent to create the park, reflecting a shared commitment to enhancing quality of life in Jefferson County. Today, the space continues to serve as a gathering place for neighbors, families and friends.
