Introducing the Jefferson County Centennial Park in Tarrant

In September 2023, United Way of Central Alabama (UWCA) celebrated the opening of Franklin Park in Tarrant, the first of six community parks commemorating UWCA’s centennial anniversary in 2023.

This revitalized space features a pavilion that serves as an outdoor classroom, picnic tables crafted by community volunteers, and a soccer field, all designed to foster community engagement and provide a safe, healthy environment for local residents.

The park’s development was a collaborative effort, with nearly 300 volunteers contributing to its creation, reflecting a strong commitment to enhancing quality of life in Jefferson County.
