United Way Hands On is gearing up for an exciting year of community involvement filled with many chances for you to give back through your time and talent. Mark these dates on your calendar as ways for you, your family or your company to experience meaningful volunteer opportunities.
April 4th to 14th: Bunny Aid
Spring is in full swing, which means it’s time to hop to it and start preparing for Bunny Aid. Every year, United Way Hands On asks for your help making Easter baskets for children served by United Way partner agencies, such as YWCA, AIDS Alabama, Ronald McDonald House and more.
Easter baskets should be wrapped with cellophane for easy transportation and include items such as candy, notebooks, fun games and non-perishable items. Hands On is also accepting baskets of toiletries, crossword puzzles and stuffed animals for senior citizens.
Visit the Bunny Aid page to find out what other supplies you can include in your basket. For more information and to schedule a drop-off date, please contact Tawanna Willoughby at 205-251-5849 or twilloughby@uwca.org.
